Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PetCenter.pk (the “Platform”), operated from Karachi, Pakistan. By creating an account, posting a listing, or browsing the site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

PetCenter is a listings platform. We connect buyers, sellers, and adopters of pets in Pakistan and provide tools — digital passports, QR codes, ownership transfers, moderation — to make the process safer.

We are not a party to any transaction. We do not own, inspect, hold, or verify the pets listed. We do not process payments. We do not ship animals. All deals happen directly between users.

• You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian post on your behalf)
• Provide a real name and a working phone or email at signup
• Keep your password private and notify us if your account is compromised
• One account per person — duplicate accounts may be suspended

You may list pets that:

• You legally own or have authority to rehome
• Are healthy enough to travel and meet a new owner
• Are accurately described — breed, age, vaccinations, price
• Are photographed honestly (no stock photos, no other sellers’ images)

You may not use the Platform to list, advertise, or facilitate any of the following:

• Endangered or protected species, or any animal whose sale is illegal under Pakistani or international law
• Stolen pets or pets without your authority to rehome
• Fighting breeds intended for fighting; dog/animal-fighting services
• Animals with undisclosed serious illness, congenital defects, or aggression
• Anything off-topic: gambling, escort services, scams, unrelated products
• Content that is hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate
• Fake, duplicated, or misleading listings

Listings are automatically screened for inappropriate language, NSFW images, and off-topic content. Violating listings are removed and repeat offenders are banned.

• Meet the seller in a safe, public place — never alone, never after hours if you can avoid it
• Inspect the pet before paying. Verify the breed, age, and condition match the listing
• Do not pay in advance for a pet you have not seen in person
• PetCenter does not hold escrow or guarantee any transaction

A digital passport is optional and provided as a record-keeping tool. The QR code resolves to whoever is the current owner of record on the platform. When a pet changes hands you should:

• Initiate an ownership transfer from My Pets
• The new owner confirms the transfer from their account
• After confirmation the passport, photos, and history move to the new owner

A digital passport is not a substitute for any legal or veterinary documentation required by Pakistani law or by an importing country if you are travelling.

Posting listings and using core features is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce paid features (e.g. featured listings, promoted ads) in the future. You will only be charged for a feature you actively choose to use.

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By posting, you grant PetCenter a non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and resize that content on the Platform and in related materials (e.g. social media posts about the listing). You can revoke this licence by removing the listing.

We may, at our discretion: edit or remove a listing, hide a seller’s profile, suspend or ban an account, or require additional verification. We try to explain our actions, but for serious violations (fraud, abuse, illegal content) we may act without prior notice.

If a transaction goes wrong, try to resolve it directly with the other party first. If you cannot, contact us — we will help where we can, but we are not legally liable for losses arising from user-to-user transactions.

The Platform is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing is accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetCenter is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account for violations of these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. Some data (e.g. transaction history relevant to other users) may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the courts of Karachi.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on the homepage or by email. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
